What land clearing actually is
Taking a property back to workable ground, without stripping it bare.
Land clearing removes the brush, cedar, undergrowth and deadfall that make a property unusable, and leaves ground you can walk, survey, build on, or put to work. On most Hill Country lots that means underbrush removal, cedar tree removal, and hauling off years of accumulated deadfall in a single scope.
We clear selectively by default. Mature oaks, natural rock features and healthy tree lines stay unless you tell us otherwise. Cedar is the usual target because of what it does to water and fire risk, but not all of it needs to go, and we'll tell you which is which before the machines start.
What you get back isn't a scraped lot. It's a property with its character intact and the problem removed.

When a property needs land clearing
If any of these describe your property, this is the work.
-
Brush so thick you can't see the property line
Years of cedar and undergrowth that make it impossible to walk, survey, or plan around. Cedar tree removal across the Hill Country is most of what we do, and it's usually the first thing that has to happen.
-
You're getting ready to build
Lot clearing comes first, before survey stakes, pad prep, or a foundation crew can do anything useful. Bought raw land in Austin and the plans are drawn? This is step one.
-
Fire risk is building up against the house
Dense juniper and deadfall crowding structures, cleared back to create defensible space. Fire mitigation brush removal is worth doing before the dry months, not during them.
-
You need pasture, fence line, or usable acreage
Opening up land for livestock, fencing, utility runs, or simply getting the use of ground you already own and can't currently reach.

What drives the price
No two properties price out the same.
Estimates are free. For most lots, clear photos and a location are enough for a real number. Complex land, heavy rock and large haul off jobs need a short call or a site visit. We'd rather be right than fast.
